That was a very mad dash to the finish Figment!
Wow!
A common misconception is that dragons hoard gold. This is half true. Dragons have an unusual sense of value and will actually hoard *anything* they get their claws on. This could be gold coins, or any coins, cds, and other shiny things, through to toys, plushies and oddly shaped leaves, colourful stones and fancy international bottlecaps.

Gathering of the Figments shall be offline from May 1st for about 1-2 weeks. Email me if you would like further details.

It was mindless trash, the lot of it...

But hey, wordcount! :P

Hence why I am now writing it from the start again, without looking at the other version...

What other version, I *have* no other version!

(In an "I am disowning you" kinda way...)

^lol. :) I've heard many people say that you should write a first draft and then write a second one without looking at the first. So go Figgy!

Figs, when I saw your wordcount jump from 7k to 52k overnight on my buddy list, I right out loud said "get the f*ck out". You could write a novel a weekend at that rate.

But naw, good work, I'm sure there had to be some gems of ideas and plotlines in that monster, even if you rewrite it from scratch.

And congrats to everyone who didn't totally flake out during NaNo.

Well I had more in notebooks that I just had to type up, as well... So it wasnt 45k written in a day or anything.

And sure, I *could* write a novel in a weekend... If I had that kind of drive and determination more often...

I deleted the last 5,000 words of my NaNo the moment I validated it because it is [censored]. So now my count is only about 46k :P But I still win NaNo! :D
