I'm way way way behind, but if I can beat last year's attempt (29k), I guess that's improvement.

At the end of day 20 I am at 34,188. I missed yesterday so I had to write over 3,000 words today which was killer. Hope that doesn't happen again.

Woo hoo! I'm at 40,011 words! Same spot I was in last year when I lost interest in my story and gave up. Almost there. No giving up for me. :D

Made good progress down in Melbourne, just a little behind though at the moment. 40,378 at the moment, with a few pages to type that I wrote on the plane.
A common misconception is that dragons hoard gold. This is half true. Dragons have an unusual sense of value and will actually hoard *anything* they get their claws on. This could be gold coins, or any coins, cds, and other shiny things, through to toys, plushies and oddly shaped leaves, colourful stones and fancy international bottlecaps.

Gathering of the Figments shall be offline from May 1st for about 1-2 weeks. Email me if you would like further details.

I was sick for three days and I didn't get ANY writing done at all. Then there was Thanksgiving which made it even harder to want to write. -_-

Anywho, I thought I wasn't going to be able to make up my missed writing and I kept procrastinating but then I did it! I got caught up and am still writing. I might even make it to 50,000 tonight!

47,020/50,000

2,980 words to go!

EDIT

WOOT! 50,431! I'm officially a winner!

And there's still a ways more to go until the story is done. I'm so excited!

I did it! 52,909... 52,910 by the nano validator... for some reason...

It was close! I did almost NO writing when I had visitors, and then I didn't get home till early Sunday morning... But I typed like a mindless zombie thing all day long, and got there! Then the word jumble method they advise didn't want to work! It was meant to just replace all the letters with A, that's what it did last year...

This year it went weird, and replaced them all with A but took out spaces, so that it was 1 word long... Or it would somehow change SOME of the letters to A, and put an A at the start of every word... At one point it was cutting my count down to 6,000 or therabouts... And then I finally got it to do it, KINDA... It robbed me of only 60 words in the end...

But it is done! It's over now! :D

Well done my lovelies!
