hello! I'm emma, i was actually on this board before as either emma jean or as emmajeanjumpingbean... i don't remember which and my account seems to have been lost (wow! makeover! by the way.) but anyway, i'm checking back in, and hopefully i won't be disappearing again anytime soon...

i suppose i should give a little low down of just who i am, cause i know i've been forgotten by now. so let's see...i'm in high school, and i'm a total volleyball-a-holic. i also happen to be obsessed with photography and consequently with photoshop as well. let's see... favorite books: harry potter (duh) twilight (but definitely NOT breaking dawn, even though it made me laugh harder than anything else has in a long time) naruto (yes, in my world mangas do count as books) the book thief, gone with the wind, poison study, green rider, sword of truth series, Fahrenheit 451, maximum ride, bel canto (i haven't finished it yet, but it's awesome) and about ten million others that i can't think of right now. other obsessions are full metal alchemist, rocky votolato (if you haven't heard his music you have not lived), star trek, and goldfish. oh, and i hate tomatoes.

there you go, that's me in a nutshell. well, not including the hyperactive personality and the mile-a-minute mouth. anyway, i'll stop now.

Hi! I'm sorry, I don't remember you, which I should considering I've been on the Figments forever. But I know you now, so, yay!

Breaking Dawn was the strangest book ever wasn't it?

Do you like all Star Treks or do you have a favorite? I find the Original Series is my favorite. Gotta love the classics. Although GD thinks I'm crazy cause I prefer Kirk to Picard.

I love Paint Shop! Which, in some ways, is similar to photoshop. Every picture you see of mine was manipulated with my paint shop program. I also love photography but lately I've bet a bit slack on doing anything with it.

And I can't eat tomatoes.

Welcome! :P

it's not surprising that you don't remember actually. i wasn't the most active person on this site... hopefully i'll change that this time around XD

ya, BD was ridiculous... once i made it past the first 130 pages i stopped taking it seriously and had a blast laughing at all the crazy things that happened. definitely not her best work ... it felt to me like it was a fanfic written by a twelve year old...but whatever.

my favorite star trek has got to be voyager. i've been re-watching all seven seasons for the last couple of weeks. i don't actually think i've ever seen the original though... i've seen some of the Next Generation ones and i've never watched enterprise. i'm thinking that once i finish season seven of voyager i'll go back and watch the original and then move on from there XD i can just feel the brain cells dying as i plan that little escapade...

I definitely felt Breaking Dawn was off. It wasn't written like Steph's other books, it was hard to even tell it was her. My sister loved it though, so...-shrugs-

Strangely my favorite Voyager is "Tinker, Tenor, Doctor, Spy." :P

I've seen pretty much all the Star Treks. I grew up with my dad watching them. So in order my favorites go, The Original Series, Enterprise, Voyager, The Next Generation, and the one I don't really watch, but have seen here and there, and my least favorite, is DS-9. I'm a Sci-Fi geek. Seriously.

hahaha that one is hilarious! it's definitely one of my favorites as well. i definitely fell out of my chair laughing on more than one occasion while watching that. the Doctor is pretty awesome. or should i say the ECH XD

i definitely plan on watching the Original Series at some point, cause i feel like it's just essential to any sort of american upbringing XD and i bet they explain alot of things that are just taken for granted in Voyager lol.

I'm glad to hear you're a sci-fi geek. we'll have to band together. i'm not a hard core sci fi girl, mainly cause i have too many other fandoms that i try to keep up with as well, but i do love the genre :D

Ah, yes. We shall have to band together! ;)

The Doctor is definitely my favorite character on Voyager.

I love so many other genres as well but for some reason Sci-Fi just outranks them all. Something about space and aliens and really cool technology is just so awesome. lol

We will get along splendidly. I can see it already!

Greetings and welcome to the forums!

I do have a better memory than Trinity (*shock*), and I DO remember you!
Yay!

Welcome back! :D :D :D
A common misconception is that dragons hoard gold. This is half true. Dragons have an unusual sense of value and will actually hoard *anything* they get their claws on. This could be gold coins, or any coins, cds, and other shiny things, through to toys, plushies and oddly shaped leaves, colourful stones and fancy international bottlecaps.

yay! pommie remembers me! i'm so glad i haven't been forgotten completely, despite the fact that i kind of vanished off the face of the internet... so *hugs* for not forgetting me XD

trinity - the doctor is my favorite after seven of nine, because she makes me laugh with her borg-ness and her awkward social skills. like in the one where she has to learn how to date...wow, that was pretty hilarious.

i have to agree that sci-fi is pretty much a winner. maybe not my favorite, cause i'm too ADD to stick to any one thing for very long, but it's definitely pretty cool to think about. especially the cool gadgets part. i'm so jealous of those starfleet officers with their com badges and their transporter beams :D

i'm wondering, have you ever read Fahrenheit 451? cause i just finished reading it and it was wonderful. so if you haven't read it you should. cause it's all sci fi but it's also all "woah that made me think" which alot of books don't manage at all...so you should check it out if you haven't.

Boo! Welcome back!

I liked Breaking Dawn, oddly enough. Though it was a little bit beyond ridiculous. And I loved Bel Canto.

I remember you! And Voyager is my second favourite Star Trek series (after Next Gen of course). I'm in the process of watching them all, I'm up to, ironically, Tinker, Tenor, Doctor, Spy. Just started about a month ago or something.
Also Fahrenheit 471 is an amazing book.

Definitely the transporter beams are something to be jealous of. Wouldn't travel be so much easier with them? I don't think I'd trade being a red shirt for one though. :P

I've never heard of Fahrenheit 451! Who's the author? I tried looking it up but I kept getting this spanish book that I couldn't read the description on. I'm always happy to read a new book.

I kind of rememeber that Voyager where 7 tries to learn to date. It's been so long since I've watched one!
