Gathering of the Figments

Who brought you? What do you expect to get out of this forum?

I am here because The Figs is my internet family.

And I'm a writer and I want to know what's good and what's not, what should be fixed and what shouldn't,

and I want people to read my work.

Figment made a thread on neopets--OMG! SUNBURN!--and I sent her a PM saying "oh, yeah. I'll join a writing forum." you know, thinking "ah, this won't last all that long, just like all the other forums, they just fall through in a week or so and nobody talks to me anymore..." but everyone stayed; despite my inability to interact with human beings with what is considered 'normal' behavior. And the fact that like to eat garlic bread for breakfast; but you can't smell it from there.

Although, I'm rather surprised that you can't...:/

Figment recruited me on the Veritaserum chat site a day or two after she opened the Figments.

What I hope to get out of this site is to get better at writing and I hope that I can help other people do the same.

Oh, right, and what I hope to get out of the site...um...OH! I KNOW! Social skills. ^^

Yay! Another Veritaserum persons! I love Veritaserum! Not as much as the Figments though.

I'm here because DarkWaltz and Lady Artamir kept talking about it, which got me curious. But it took DarkWaltz a while to send me the link...

I'm here because I write, though I don't really consider myself a writer if that makes sense. I'm here because sometimes you just need a little self-esteem boost or a little help. I'm here because this site inspires me to write more, and that can't be a bad thing.

And I'm here at Figments 2.0 because I love you guys and will go where you go (sort of...maybe?) and because I love new things and starting from scratch. (This is why I don't have any writing from when I was younger--I throw EVERYTHING out)

@Trinity & @Shaye - Shaye-la made me think of Shangri-la, which mades me think of the quote "everywhere south of Oz and north of Shangri-La"

I'm here because my friend, Shaye, realised one day, "HEY! You like writing, don't you?" I swear it sounded like a lightbulb went off in her head. Any way, I was really surprised at the family this forum made... Other forums I belong to (most of them Harry Potter ones ) don't engross me and I normally don't visit them more than twice. But here... Is muy differento (That totally is not spanish ) In, like, a month or two on the old site, I hit 1000 posts. Remember that, anybody? That was the day when I was like: "Wow. This is for real."

Anyway, that's how and why I'm at the Figments 2.0.
Because of family

I'm here because I thought that my life has calmed down enough for me to be able to write again and hopefully post some of my stories...

Well the reason I'm here is a long story. It all started back in September of 1990, when my mom rushed to the hospital. I was born shortly thereafter... Okay fine.
I was recruited by the also absent Lady Nakara, why I'm not too sure. But I stayed here because I enjoy writing and tend to like forums (although I'm only on two).
Of course with AP Language my writing time is small, plus I'm starting to lean towards composing now... Ah well

The lightbulb didn't go off, it was a more, "Hmm... you know - Michelle might enjoy this place. Does she know how weird I am? Yes." and then I told you.

I'm here because I love reading and writing, but also because you're all fun people to talk to. And if we're as good at critting as we keep promising to be, that's another major reason I'm here: I want all the help I can get!

To tell the truth, Grey Dawn, when you first showed up, I was thinking "ACK! This guy threatens my weirdness! Eh, he probably won't stay long anyway." but you did stay...AND YOU BEAT MY POST COUNT WITHIN MERE MONTHS! And then I resented you. But you've started to grow on me. Not literally, though, that'd be creepy. XD

Indeed. When I first saw the name Grey Dawn and he started to talk to me like he knew me I was like "shwah?" And then I realized that he DID know me! It confuses noobs very much when you refer yourself to others with a different name. I still remember that night when Shaye brought me on the chat and we started talking to Carrots. I was also very confused with the whole Kaj is Figment thing. Very confusing, you people were. But now I know you guys! And I have to say, it's most of what keeps me comin' back!
